Mass Effect headcanon: Shepard is John Sheppard from Stargate Atlantis (they even have the same name!) and he explores the universe in the Daedalus Normandy with his team of scientist buddies. Shepard/Mordin is my Sheppard/Mckay - theirs is a forbidden and sciency love.
